3 stone loss for Louise on the Gi plan!
Having clapped eyes on photos of herself looking less then svelte and toned at her brother’s wedding, Louise decided the time had come to take action against her expanding waist band. “I saw the photos from my best friend’s hen night and my brother’s wedding and knew I needed to lose weight.”
Louise tried numerous diets in the past but always failed to achieve long term results. Even when she did achieve a significant loss, the weight always piled back on once she returned to her normal eating habits. “I have tried every diet there is and have lost 1 or 2 stone before, but I have never been this slim and I have never kept the weight off like I have this time – the weight has gone for life!”
Another motivating factor in registering for our online Gi diet plan was Louise’s decision to start a family in the future. She realised that achieving a healthy weight and BMI would improve her chances of getting pregnant and reduce the risk of complications associated with pregnancy. “One day my husband and I would like to start a family and if this was going to happen I knew I would have to lose weight and become fit.”
Louise has achieved a 3 stone loss in the past year and she can now slip into a slim size 12. “It’s made a huge difference to me I feel so much more confident and don’t mind looking at myself in the mirror now.”
The days of feeling self conscious are well and truly over for Louise! She has planned a dream holiday to Mexico and is really looking forward to stripping down to her bikini and showing off her new figure. “I am going on holiday soon to Mexico and I can’t wait to wear a bikini for the first time without having to suck my tummy in and run from the lounger to the pool so that no one sees my stomach. I am really proud of how fit I have become.”
Previously, her diet consisted mostly of convenience meals and take away food. Now Louise has revamped her entire approach to healthy eating, she only eats the occasional take away, and chocolate bars are a rare treat rather than a permanent meal staple. The Gi plan has helped Louise control her cravings, and her hunger is always satisfied with the foods on this plan.
“I used to eat a lot of take away food, now I have found a love of cooking and rarely do I treat myself to a take out. I used to eat a lot of take aways and convenience food. I work from home so it was always easier to grab the quickest thing to eat. Now that my meals are planned and the Gi diet is designed to make you feel full for longer, I don’t snack and I no longer eat junk food.”
The aspects of the diet that Louise enjoyed the most were the meal plans and shopping lists. She admits that without the meals being planned for her it would have been very difficult to stick to the diet. “I found the meal plans and shopping lists fantastic. Without the meal plans and recipes I know I wouldn’t have stuck to it the way I have. I looked forward to every meal and I have tried a lot of new recipes - it was fun cooking again.”
Weight loss has made a huge difference to Louise’s quality of life. After quitting sport 15 years ago, Louise decided to take an active line in increasing her fitness levels. She recognised that exercise would be a great way of boosting weight loss and improving her health.
“When I registered for the online diet plan, I also started seeing a personal trainer at my local gym who put me on the right track, making sure I was doing the right exercise for what I wanted to achieve. I have now become a sporty person again and have just taken up playing hockey.”
Perhaps the greatest compliment Louise received since losing weight was a family friend not recognising her at a wedding. “A lot of people don’t recognise me anymore. I went to my friends wedding and her parents who I knew very well but hadn’t seen in a couple of years actually asked me in the receiving line who I was! It’s wonderful when people I haven’t seen for a while do a double take.”
And finally a few words of wisdom from Louise. “This online programme is excellent. It’s convenient, easy to use and the meal plans work. Don’t give up on this, keep going and be patient. I have done quick fix diets before and lost weight quickly but have always put it straight back on. Don’t get disheartened when you have weeks that you don’t lose. I often found I had good weeks and bad weeks but kept it as it does work. This time it has taken me a year to lose 3 stone but I know I won’t put it back on!”
