A new man with over 5 stone loss
At 20 stone Kevin’s health problems, due to his weight, were becoming debilitating and often the cause for him to sit out on valuable time with his kids. Eventually he came to a point where he was so fed up with how he looked and felt that he took the situation in hand and joined up to our online dieting site. Since then, with the help of our healthy eating meal plans and a running regime Kevin has managed to lose a massive 5½ stone. This has greatly reduced his health risks and allows him to run rings around his children.
Here is Kevin's story...
How much weight have you lost and have you lost any inches? I started the diet plan at 20 stone with a BMI of 34 and a 42 inch waist. I now weigh 14 stone 7lbs with a BMI of 25 and a 34 inch waist.
Have you previously tried any other diets and were they successful? I tried the Atkins Diet several times but any weight lost was soon gained once the diet stopped.
What part, if any, has exercise played in helping you to lose weight? A big part! I couldn’t even run for a minute when I started but as I have lost more weight I have gotten more active & I am now exercising at least 5 nights a week. I don't think that I would have lost so much weight without the exercise! I can now run 3 miles in just 26 minutes & do this at least 4 times a week!
Was your weight causing you any problems? I could never get any clothes I liked as it was difficult to find them in my size and my health was in a terrible state due to my weight.
What difference has losing weight made to you? My self-confidence has soared and my health has improved no end. My Asthma is virtually non-existent & my arthritis has been reduced to a dull ache! But most importantly I can now run around like a loon with my kids & not have to sit down after just a minute telling them to leave me alone!
What did you think of our service overall? I think your online dieting service is wonderful. The meal plans take all the hassle of figuring out what you can & cannot eat and the recipes are delicious and easy to follow. The 30 something support board has been a great source of inspiration as to me.
Tell us about your diet before you joined us, and how has your diet changed as a result? I used to eat a lot of unhealthy foods such as pasties, cakes, crisps, sweets & chocolate but I also ate a large evening meal late at night & went to bed straight afterwards. I now eat healthy food at the right times & only snack on fruit or cereal bars twice a day (one mid morning & one mid afternoon).
How have your family and friends reacted to your weight loss? They have been very supportive & cannot believe how much weight I have lost. They say that I am a completely new man!
