John Torode reveals weight loss secret

Celebrity chef John Torode has credited eating a healthy breakfast and cycling regularly for his recent weight loss.

The Masterchef host told GMTV that making sure he gets a proper meal in the morning has helped him lose around three stone over the past 18 months.

Commenting on his new diet and fitness plan, he said: "I feel brilliant...I cycle everywhere, I eat different. The big secret, the thing that all people who are very, very overweight have in common, is that they don't eat breakfast.

"I now eat breakfast and make the point of sitting down with my children, eating breakfast and starting the day well."

John owns a group of popular restaurants and bars in central London including Luxe in Spitalfields and Smiths of Smithfield.

He also co-presents Celebrity Masterchef and Masterchef Goes Large with fellow foodie Gregg Wallace.
