Mark Wright starts January diet early
The 24-year-old admitted on his Twitter page that he has put on two stone since his appearance on ITV's I'm A Celebrity reality show.
He tweeted: "Can't wait 4 lunch I'm soooo hungry diet started 2day though so going to be boring ... I'm dieting as iv put on 2 stone since the jungle #bingeeating every since [sic]."
The news means that unlike many other people, who will be feasting on mince pies, chocolates and mulled wine over the next week or so, Mark will be doing his best to limit his intake of high-fat and high-sugar foods.
It is not unusual for men to pursue healthy diet plans in the new year, but those who wish to follow Mark's lead and choose healthier options over the festive period may benefit from a few simple tips.
These include buying low-fat crisps and dips, making mince pies with filo pastry instead of shortcrust, and leaving the lids off to create mince 'tarts' instead of pies.
