More British men in battle against the bulge
According to Exante Diet, more men are motivated to fight the flab on the back of recent research outlining the mounting health risks facing overweight men.
One 48-year-old flab fighter, Philip Beales from Reading, said: "My Dad was very overweight and his brothers were all overweight, too. But I never thought it would happen to me and I just ate whatever I wanted.
"My wife is a caterer so although it's great having lots of cakes and treats round the house I found my weight creeping up and my body ballooning. Before I knew it I was over 25 stone."
Meal replacement diet plans are popular as they can help slimmers drop pounds quickly, allowing them to see immediate results.
Research from Plymouth's Peninsula Medical School published this month revealed that sons of overweight dads are six times more likely to be obese.
