In March of this year I was lucky enough to be involved in the Tesco Diets success story photoshoot. I say lucky because I got so much from spending time with 11 of our amazing members.
Not only was it a very enjoyable two days but it was also so inspiring and personally I was motivated and encouraged by our members’ attitude towards foods, dieting and exercise. Their determination and pure willingness to maintain their already amazing results was a real eye opener for me. The shoot took place over two days in the Tesco media centre in Milton Keynes. And our 11 beautiful ladies got to see what it's like to be a model for the day.
Of course their amazing transformations took place over the last few months and even year for some of them but our professional make-up artist and hair dresser treated them to a professional make-over that left the rest of us looking haggard and very un-glamorous. With hair and make-up complete it was the turn of the stylist.
Each outfit was carefully chosen according to each member’s story, interest and upcoming events. We wanted to make sure our cherished members were comfortable and happy with each outfit. The funny thing was that they all over estimated their actual dress size, so some pinning and adjustment was needed. This is often the case with people who lose lots of weight. They can think they are bigger than they actually are or they are still losing weigh so their dress size drops regularly.
Once the sensational make-over was complete it was time to strike a pose. A professional photos shoot can be a daunting place for most people, even veteran models but once the fun and laughs started they all relaxed and were soon striking poses without any direct or hints (there were indeed a few naturals). As you can see they all look gorgeous. We were delighted to provide this once in a life time chance to be a pampered and made over for the day but really we are the ones that need to say “thank you”.
Here’s what they have to say about the day.
Thank you for a lovely day at the photo shoot, it was lovely to meet everyone and be a 'star' for a day!!! Madeline.
