Tia had gained a lot of weight after getting pregnant with her first daughter and she struggled with getting her pre-pregnancy figure back. After sadly suffering a miscarriage Tia worried that her weight might have been the cause and she realised that her weight was putting her health in jeopardy. She joined the Tesco Diets Gi diet plan and lost 3 stone 5 lbs and dropped 4 dress sizes.

Tia tells us about the difference losing weight has made to her life…

What made you decide to join Tesco Diets?

I had a miscarriage last year and I think the possibility that my weight may have been the reason for it was the kick I needed to lose the weight I was carrying around with me.

Tell us about your diet before you joined us?

Snacks and sweets are my weaknesses, but I realised my meals were too big and contained too much of the wrong foods. Healthier options fill me up much more and I still allow myself a treat at the weekends. Oh and I eat less now!

How has following the Gi plan helped you to lose weight?

I have no imagination and I hate cooking, but being told what to eat each week and getting a shopping list makes everything so much easier. I was able to adjust the meal plan to suit my tastes and budget which was really handy.

Has losing weight changed your life?

I can now walk into a room with my head held high. I’m no longer afraid to speak, chat and enjoy myself. I wear fashionable clothes which show off my figure. I run and play with my daughter without being breathless and needing to sit down.

How have your family and friends reacted to your weight loss?

My family are so proud of me and all my friends give me plenty of compliments.

Is there anything you can do now that you couldn’t do before?

I can play games with my daughter and we do lots of activities together such as walking, zumba, fairground rides and swimming.

How do you view yourself now?

Happier, healthier and more attractive. I am more confident with fashion, nails and shoes.

What would be your one tip for new members?

If you follow the diet and do a little exercise you will lose weight. Simple!
