With a career and a young family to keep her busy, the last thing Pam needed was a complicated diet regime. Luckily her diet plan gave her exactly what she wanted. Pam’s kids and husband could eat most of the meals on her plan and she found it easy to prepare the tasty recipes for the whole family.
Pam promised herself that she’d lose weight for her tenth Wedding Anniversary. She kept her promise; Pam lost 3 stone 7 lbs and gained her self confidence back.

Have your family been supportive?
I couldn’t have hoped for more from my husband, in fact he’s really enjoyed the variety of evening meals. The whole family have been aware of the weight loss. My little boy cries ‘pretty mummy’ and my daughter loves my new outfits. You can imagine my husband’s pleasure in seeing the figure of the woman he met all those years ago.
Have you tried any other diets?
Yes, but this is the one that has offered the support, continuity and success it promised.
What made you decide to join us?
I had gained a lot of weight while I was pregnant and never really bothered to lose it. I suffered enormously with back problems and on top of everything else my self confidence was causing problems with my relationship. I cried when I found myself having to buy size 18 clothes. I had to do something, so I decided to give myself the whole year, plus a few months to get back to a healthy size and shape. I wanted to achieve this by our 10th wedding anniversary.
What difference has losing weight made to you?
I couldn’t begin to put it into words, but I’ll try. I feel healthier and fitter. I know I look better than I have for years. I can do more with my children. I haven’t had a debilitating bout of sciatica for many months. My marriage is better than it has been for years. I love trying on and buying new clothes for the first time in a very long time. I’ve inspired my friends to strengthen their resolve and persist with their goals by showing it can be done.
Tell us about your diet before you joined us?
We were never at the point of eating constant take aways, but they were an easy substitute at least once a week. I rarely ate breakfast and would often go without lunch or worse still, buy junk food to have in the car.
Have you enjoyed the diet plans?
Nobody believes me, but YES, the diet plans are fantastic. Nothing is banned, and you learn about the right portion sizes, plus I loved the responses from the team after weigh-ins. Just when I was ready to give up, the team would email and encourage me. I can’t thank them enough.
What part has exercise played in helping you to lose weight?
As the weight started to fall off, I started training for the 5k Race For Life. I also joined the local gym in November to give my routines some variety.
How do you feel about your weight loss?
I am absolutely delighted with my weight loss. I always intended to lose it slowly with the intention of keeping it off for good and that’s exactly what happened.
Do you feel confident about maintaining your weight loss?
Absolutely and especially with the continued support of the mentor team.
