Refreshing Summer Smoothies!
To help you cool down this summer, we have put together some refreshing and delicious smoothie recipes, that will not only quench your thirst but will also leave your taste buds wanting more.
Tropical Shake
Ingredients - Serves 1
100g (4 oz) of tinned pineapple chunks.
100ml (4 fl oz) of orange juice.
125ml (5 fl oz) or 5 fl oz of low fat yoghurt (either natural or flavour of choice).
50ml (2fl oz) of semiskimmed milk.
Ice cubes.
Method
1. In a blender combine the pineapple, orange juice, milk, yoghurt and ice cubes.
2. Whizz until frothy and serve immediately.
Thirst Quencher
Ingredients - Serves 1
200ml (8fl oz) of apple juice.
½ chopped carrot.
1 pinch of ginger.
Ice cubes.
Method
1. In a blender combine the juice, carrot, ginger and ice cubes.
2. Whizz until frothy and serve immediately.
Banana Berry
Ingredients - Serves 1
200ml (4fl oz) of orange juice.
1 banana.
50g (2 oz) of strawberries.
50g (2 oz) of blueberries.
Ice cubes.
Method
1. In a blender, combine the juice, banana, berries and ice cubes.
2. Whizz until smooth and frothy and serve immediately.
Fruit Cocktail
Ingredients - Serves 1
1 kiwi fruit.
1 banana.
½ pear.
200ml (8 fl oz) of apple juice.
Ice cubes.
method
1. In a blender combine peeled kiwi, banana, pear,juice and ice cubes.
2. Whizz until frothyand serve immediately.
