7 stone loss with the Light Choices plan!
Helen admits that her past weight loss attempts have been anything but successful. To achieve the results you want you need lots of willpower and this was slow coming in Helen's case.
“I've had many half hearted attempts at dieting on my own and got nowhere.”
Once her weight started to affect her health Helen knew the time had come to take action. She was no longer just dealing with the psychological demons her weight heaped on her, now she had to consider the implications being overweight would have on her long term health as well.
After registering for the online website’s weekly newsletter Helen began to think that the diets offered might be worth a go. With all the motivation she could muster she made a commitment to the website, she decided that this time her effort was not going to be in vain. Failure wasn’t an option; with the help of the website and her determination Helen was going to make sure of this.
“I hated my body and was frustrated with the extra weight I was carrying for years but I managed to deal with it by avoiding the issue. I had some health problems and began to think a bit more seriously about my weight and what I could do about it. I suddenly decided that I needed something different. When the online newsletter email came through I plucked up the courage, bought some scales and signed up."
Amazingly Helen dropped from 18 stone 1 lb to 11 stone 1 lbs, that’s a loss of 7 stone! Now Helen looks gorgeous but most importantly she has reduced the risks of suffering from obesity related complications such as Heart Disease and Diabetes.
The Light Choices meal plan helped Helen to change her eating habits and the interesting recipes helped to reignite a past cooking talent. Her husband and 2 young children have been supportive throughout the diet and they have also really enjoyed the recipes on the meal plans.
“I rediscovered the joys of cooking, we have found recipes that have become favourites. I decided to cut crisps and other junk food completely out of my diet in the beginning, as a result now I can eat the occasional bag of crisps without going overboard.”

Her new-found shopping hobby is great for flaunting her slender figure…not so good for her bank balance.
“I used to hate clothes shopping as I was really restricted in where I would buy clothes to fit me. My confidence and self esteem were very low and I would avoid any activity where my weight might be an issue. Now I love buying new clothes and having a choice in shops.”
To ensure that she maintains every motivation to continue eating healthily in the long term, Helen has taken some drastic action.
“I am worried about maintaining my weight loss but feel that I will be able too. I have got rid of all my ‘fat clothes’ so that I can’t afford to slip back. The Light Choices plan has changed my eating habits and I have learned what I can as well as can’t eat so it has become a way of life.”
