A change of life with our Mediterranean plan!

Unfortunately there was a time when Paul was physically feeling quite unwell and he felt like he had lost his "get up and go". This brought him to his local doctor who suggested it may be partly due to his weight. As the weight had come on gradually and for no apparent reason, Paul was surprised but realised he needed a lifestyle change to reverse his weight gain and feel healthy again. This spurred him on to join up to our online dieting site and with the Mediterranean plan he has managed to lose nearly 4 stone since!

Here is Paul's story...

How much weight and inches have you lost? I signed up to your online dieting site weighing 14 stone 12lbs and have since reached 11 stone 1lbs. My BMI has gone from 31 to 23 and I have lost approximately 8 inches.

What part has exercise played in helping you to lose weight? None initially, but after reducing to 12 stone I joined a health club and now regularly exercise.

Was your weight causing you any problems? I never really recognised the burden until I had lost the weight!

What difference has losing weight made to you? I was always self-confident intellectually but now I have a much better feeling about my physical self.

What did you think of our online dieting site? The real benefit I have found is being able to organise my meals efficiently. So, having my meal plan and recipes backed up by the shopping list makes it all come together to make life far less complicated!!

Tell us about your diet before you joined us? During the week I used to grab a meal when I could and fried breakfasts were all too frequent. Huge sunday roasts were always heavy on the fat, the plate always loaded with as many potatoes that could be crammed on to it and I usually always had pudding. I would often snack on sandwiches instead of having a proper meal or have chinese takeaway because I was too tired to cook.

How have your family and friends reacted to your weight loss? I continue to receive comments of amazement and compliments particularly from people who have not seen me for a while.

What do you feel is your most important thought to share with fellow dieters out there? I could not anticipate it, I thought I would miss some of my favourite foods, but the truth is, as well as benefiting from a healthy diet, I prefer the meals that I now eat. The other major benefit the change in lifestyle has produced, is that I am awake an extra two hours a day!!
