Craig carries it off – 1st 10 lbs loss!
Meet Craig, another of our Super Successes, who in just 2 short months has shed 1 st 10 lbs, with the result that he feels fabulous and looks fantastic! Craig weighed in at 12 st 3 lbs when he started with us, giving him a BMI of 28 which was well within the overweight category. Craig had no problem dropping off the pounds and he now weighs in at a trim 10 st 6 lbs. With a BMI of 24, Craig is now a healthy weight for his height and has reduced his risk of diabetes, heart disease and other health complications which he would have been more prone to when he was overweight.
So what prompted Craig to lose the weight? “I had never dieted before because I hadn’t really needed to. But I weighed myself one day and realised that my weight had got out of control and I needed to do something about it.”
Craig joined our programme and was an instant success losing 2 lbs in his first week and there wasn’t a week when he didn’t lose anything! Craig alternated between the Gi Diet and the Quick Loss Plan as well as combining his new eating habits with plenty of gym workouts. “I liked the structure and routine of knowing what I was eating. I knew if I stuck to the plan I’d lose weight. The pounds just dropped off but I combined this with working out at the gym for about an hour and a half each day from Monday to Friday.
As a result of his weight loss, Craig feels fitter and happier than ever before! “I felt less confident when I was overweight but now I feel much less self-conscious and more confident when I go out. I recently bought a pair of 32” waist jeans for the first time in a long time. I love that I can wear any clothes I want now!”
Craig is confident that he can maintain his weight loss but he knows he’ll have to work at it! “I am more focused on the calories I take in now. I always think before I eat now but I do allow myself treats from time to time.”
Any tips for potential future dieters? “There’s no quick route to losing weight, it’s just discipline but it’s not hard! Stick to the plans provided and don’t forget to work out! There’s also the added bonus of being fitter and stronger. It really is worth it. Go for it!"
