Elaine loses 2 stone 3 lbs!

Elaine looked forward to seeing some snaps she had taken but was less than pleased with the images portrayed in them. Even though her weight had slowly increased over the years she did not acknowledge the extent of the problem until it literally stared her in the face.

“My before photo was the turning point for me, I decided that on returning from a pending holiday I would join the online weight loss programme and do something about it.”

In a few short months Elaine dropped a staggering 2 stone 3 lbs. Now she weighs a healthy 10 stone and fits snugly into a size 12.

Her diet was quite healthy before registering with the healthy eating plan but she admits the problem lay in her lack of portion control. Elaine describes just how she went about changing her eating habits.

“I have really enjoyed the weekly meal plans, they allow you to plan in advance, this is especially good for people with busy lives. Due to the meal plan I was less tempted to throw together the wrong foods for convenience. I now eat smaller portions and have found that I do not need to eat lots of food to satisfy my cravings and hunger. I do have the occasional meal out, but always make sensible choices.”

The difference our online healthy eating plan made to her is huge; she no longer feels self conscious about wearing figure hugging clothes and her confidence has experienced a dramatic boost also.

“I have more energy and know that I look much better in my clothes now. Prior to joining the site I was beginning to feel frumpy with my dress style, I felt like I had to wear clothes to hide the bulges. I walk taller now with out feeling the need to hide my stomach. I can freely admit that I am not ashamed of my figure.”

As well as achieving a great weight loss Elaine has toned and sculpted her body through exercise. Although she frequently attended aerobics classes before the plan she has now varied and added to her exercise regime as she explains.

“I have been attending aqua aerobics twice a week for a few years which has contributed to both the weight loss and muscle toning. Since retiring from work I also attend Pilates classes and have increased the frequency of my walks. All this extra activity has definitely had an impact.”

Elaine confesses the fact she lives on her own has contributed to her success. “Living on my own has made it easier to follow the plan as I only buy food that I will eat and I don’t have to be worried about being tempted by meals that other family members eat.”

Hopefully when Elaine’s son returns from university for the holidays he will support his mother and join her on the battle to keep the house a junk food free zone!
