Gi changed my lifestyle' - Peter's 2 stone loss!

It took Peter just over 4 months to reach his target on our Gi diet! In the process he has noticed a huge improvement in his general health and he has never felt or looked better.

Peter began our online programme with a weight of 13 st 1 lb. His 5’ 10” frame meant he had a BMI of 26, which was in the overweight category. Within only 4 months, Peter has shed 2 st 1 lb and lost 6 inches from his waist. His new BMI of 22 means he is fitter, healthier and looking forward to comparing his holiday photos this year with the ones from last year!

“The turning point for losing weight came when I was looking at my holiday snaps after we returned home last year. I have a serious lung problem which causes me to be short of breath after even slightly strenuous activity – walking or climbing stairs for example. Because of this I had made several lifestyle changes over the last 2 years, and losing weight was the next obvious step to take.”

Having never dieted before, Peter wasn’t too confident that he would be able to successfully reach his goal. But his partner got stuck in, and is now reaping the benefits of the Gi way of eating too! “Our diet has changed considerably. We are now both more aware of what we eat and the benefits that can be had with a healthy and well balanced diet. Salt and fats have been greatly reduced in our diet and we now eat much more pasta together, as well as stir-fried and vegetarian dishes. We are looking forward to enjoying more salads in the summer months.”

Peter is looking forward to his summer holidays this year, when he will really be able to enjoy his new-found health. “I feel tremendously happy and proud about my new, slimmer figure. Peter’s success has impressed his family and friends, and even his doctor! “My partner often comments on how much better I look, and how my fitness has improved. I’ve also had very positive comments from my daughters and my close friends, who are all saying how well I look these days. My doctor is very impressed with my new weight and lifestyle too!”

Despite not being confident in the beginning about being able to lose the weight, Peter has no qualms about maintaining his weight. “I am 100% confident that I will maintain my current weight. Now that I have achieved this goal, I am ready to take on the next major lifestyle challenge which is giving up smoking. I’m sure that armed with the confidence that my weight loss success has brought me, I will succeed!”

Peter finishes with some sterling advice for anyone thinking of registering for the Gi plan. “I would strongly recommend to anyone thinking of joining to take a long, hard look at their lifestyle, and change it for the better through this plan.
