Helen maintains her weight.

After losing over 7 stone, Helen explains the difference losing weight has made to her.

What weight and BMI were you and what weight and BMI are you now?
I have maintained my weight this year at around 10.5 stone, this is down from a starting weight of 18 stone.

Have you lost any inches?
I dropped from a size 22 to a size 12.

How has your life changed for the better?
I have taken up running in addition to the gym in order to maintain my weight and to provide a challenge to myself. I ran a charity 10k run in October raising nearly £500 for Cancer Research. I am now training for a charity half marathon in March next year. This is something that I NEVER could have done before losing the weight.

What steps have you taken to achieve this positive change?
I have learnt to appreciate my body for what it is. I am managing my food intake and not letting it control me. And most importantly I allowed myself the occasional treat, but I was still very careful.

Is there something you love doing that has taken a major role in this change?
I love playing with the children and I always go on active camping holidays. I also enjoy the challenge of running.
