Katherine's shed the baby weight
After the birth of her two children Katherine decided to head back to work. She knew that she would need to be fit and healthy to manage such a busy schedule. Katherine decided to change her eating habits for the better. Now she’s feeling fitter and more confident than ever.
Here’s Katherine’s story…
What diet plan did you follow?
The Light Choices plan.
What weight and clothes size were you before you joined us, and what is your current weight and clothes size?
I was 13 stone and a size 16; I am now 9 stone 7 pounds and a size 10.
What made you decide to join us?
I was planning to go back to work after the birth of my second son. I knew I would need to be fit and healthy to ensure that I was capable of juggling a busy job as well as family life.
Tell us about your diet before you joined us?
Before joining, I used to eat far too many unhealthy snacks and my portions were way too big. Now I have much more control over my diet and a better knowledge of portion sizes.
I feel fantastic about my weight loss. It’s amazing to be able to go into a shop and pick up a size 10 and know that it will fit me.
Do you have a partner or children? Have they been supportive to you in your weight loss efforts?
I have a husband and 2 children – Ralph is almost 3 and Toby has just turned 1. My husband has been a great support throughout my weight loss journey.
What difference has losing weight made to you?
Losing the weight has made a huge difference. I feel much more confident in myself and I now love going shopping for clothes.
Have you enjoyed the meal plan?
I have really enjoyed the plan. I think the meals and recipes are fantastic and the choice on offer is great. I also find the shopping list brilliant, as a busy working mum it really helps me to stay organised and on track with my diet.
How do you feel about your weight loss?
I feel fantastic about my weight loss. It’s amazing to be able to go into a shop and pick up a size 10 and know that it will fit me.
What part, if any, has exercise played in helping you to lose weight?
Exercise played a big part in my weight loss. I enjoy doing exercise DVD’s and I also go running when I get the chance. I did the 10K “Race for Life” in Dundee last June in just over an hour and I also did a 10K race in May, in aid of Diabetes research.
Do you feel confident about maintaining your weight loss?
Yes I feel very confident about maintaining my weight loss.
How have your family and friends reacted to your weight loss?
They have all said that I look great!
Any other comments you would like to give?
I would thoroughly recommend Tesco Diets to anyone who wants to lose weight or change their lifestyle. Whoever designed it deserves a medal.
