Laura improves her health with the Low Carb diet plan
A combination of heath issues and a lack of confidence spurred Laura to register for the Low Carb diet plan. Over the years she had allowed her weight and diet to get out of hand and she knew that her health was suffering. Within 7 months Laura had lost 2 stone 2 lbs.

Have you tried any other diets?
Over the years I tried many fad diets and lost weight, but always gained it again as long term plans were not sustainable.
What made you decide to join us?
I liked the idea of not having to go to set meetings at specific times and the online approach appealed to me. I had lost control of my eating habits and decided enough was enough and I needed to improve my health and lower my BMI.
Was your weight causing you any problems?
My weight had always affected my confidence and I found it very difficult to find clothes that I felt confident and comfortable wearing. I have also struggled with symptoms of menopause over the past few years and weight gain was one of them.
Tell us about your diet before you joined us?
I think my fibromyalgia symptoms created a lifestyle for me where I ate more than I should. I have extra energy now because I am eating the correct foods and quantities and the Low Carb lifestyle seems to suit my body, as I don’t feel so bloated or tired.
What part did exercise play in helping you to lose weight?
Unfortunately, I suffer from fibromyalgia and this severely limited my exercise. My energy levels were depleted most of the time and I had to learn to manage this and cope accordingly.
What did you think of the service overall?
The Customer Service staff have been very helpful in answering my queries. The meal plans are varied and cater for any likes and dislikes that you mention when joining. I have swapped meal plans a couple of times when I felt my body wasn’t responding so well. I may have given up without having this option, afterall we all have good weeks and bad weeks when life takes over. The community forums have been a godsend too and I have chatted to many fellow dieters and received as well as given support. There is no pressure to join in – only if and when you want to.
What difference has losing weight made to you?
I still have more weight to lose to reach my target weight and although it has been difficult not to give up I have persevered and I am happy that I am still losing.
How have your family and friends reacted to your weight loss?
When I feel like giving up I look at what I have achieved instead of what I still have to achieve. I look upon this not as a diet but an eating plan for life. Onwards and downwards - I’m hoping to reach my target before the end of the year. I'm looking forward to enjoying the rest of my journey to a slimmer me.
