Marina achieves her dream bikini body!

Marina has tried and tested every diet that exists without ever achieving the results she hoped for. She had all but given up on ever finding a diet that would work for her. After coming across the online weight loss programme she decided to give it a shot and to her delight she did start to lose pounds, however it wasn’t long before her efforts were thwarted by a family crisis.
“I found the website and decided to give it a go, I lost quite a bit at first but then I had family problems and started to eat like the world was about to come to the end.”
The real turning point for Marina came when she set eyes on some holiday snaps. Enough was enough, it was time for her to lose weight and improve her health.
“Last August after coming back from my holidays I saw the photos and decided to get down to some serious dieting.”
Through hard work and determination Marina got her diet on track and to date she has lost 6 stone 10 lbs. Her original BMI of 41 meant she was at an increased risk of Diabetes and Heart Disease, her phenomenal weight loss reduced her dangerously high BMI to 26.
“I felt old, grumpy and fat! No clothes fitted and I had no self-confidence or self esteem.”
Marina’s confidence has blossomed since starting to lose weight. She has regained a sense of youth that has been missing for years. Her interest in clothes has been pricked to such an extent that her 17 year old daughter has major competition in the style stakes.
“I pinch my daughter’s clothes and they make me feel great. People stop me in the street congratulating me on what I have achieved and telling me that I appear years younger and I seem like my daughter’s sister rather than her grandmother.”
Since registering for the Totals plan Marina has become more conscious of what she puts into her body. The comfort eating also stopped once her self-image improved.
“I ate anything that came to hand. Now I think about what I put into my body and if it isn’t healthy it isn't worth it!"
Marina realises that her new eating pattern needs to be maintained for life. Her goal weight is within reach and there is no way that she will let her weight slip again.
“I know that I have to continue to ‘diet’ for the rest of my life, but ‘diet’ doesn’t mean not eating, it means eating healthily and sensibly."
Without doubt regular exercise was a key element of Marina’s weight loss success.
“At first I was too ashamed to go back to the gym so I used my stationary bike for an hour per day. As soon as I reached a milestone weight of 14 stone 2 lbs I returned to the gym, under the supervision of my personal trainer.”
This year Marina has no worries about stripping down to her bikini for the family holiday.
“I can’t wait for the summer to arrive so that I can take off these clothes and show the body I have now. Sure it isn’t perfect but I like it!”
‘Rome wasn’t built in a day’ and you cannot achieve your dream weight in a day either. Marina has a few words of wisdom to keep you patient and encouraged!
“Establish goals along the way and when you reach them reward yourself, maybe a facial, or a new outfit. The main thing is to never lose heart, it took ages to put the weight on and it will take a while to get it off.”
