Penny pushes off the baby fat with Gi!

Kellie Collins

Penny W had never tried any other diet plans before becoming a member with us – because she had never needed to! But after having baby number 2, she had gained a little extra weight and wanted to lose it. Penny was 10 st 6 lb when she registered with us, giving her a BMI of 25 which is still within the healthy weight for height range, but bordering on the overweight category. So with just 1 stone to lose, Penny got stuck into her Gi diet plan!

Fast forward to 8 weeks later and Penny had reached her target! Now with a weight of 9st 6lb and a BMI of 23, Penny is delighted to have her old figure back.

"The meal plans are great and so is the shopping list. You don’t have to think!."

Our website was recommended to Penny by a friend of hers who had been losing weight prior to her wedding. “It sounded like an easy way to lose weight. I had gone shopping for clothes one day and realised I needed to buy a size 14 rather than a 10 or 12. You don’t look the same in clothes that are bigger than you want them to be! With summer coming, I wanted to lose weight and tone up so I took action!”

As she had expected, Penny found the plans easy to follow. “The meal plans are great and so is the shopping list. You don’t have to think! One of the best things about following a Gi diet was that I was rarely hungry, which was a big bonus! I really enjoyed the meals on the plan and I love cooking so it was great to have some new recipes to try out.”

Penny had set herself a target to help with her motivation when she was following the programme. “I gave myself a goal to go back to my pre-pregnancy weight before a trip we had planned to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary.” Penny found this a good way to keep focused and believes it really helped her to reach her target.

Penny’s friends and family are delighted for her and have all told her how great she looks! She is confident that she can maintain her weight loss because through her Gi diet, Penny has learned about the importance of portion sizes and she can follow the Gi way of eating from now on. “I have realised that you don’t need to eat huge portions to live!”
