Sharon achieves 2 stone 12 lbs loss with Totals!
The weight Sharon gained during her most recent pregnancy proved to be a struggle to shift. She was never particularly slim but found being confined to wearing maternity clothes when she had given birth a very difficult aspect of her weight to deal with.
She decided a new challenge in the form of our online weight loss programme was just what she needed to motivate her to lose weight.
“I became very bored of other well known weight loss diets but saw the online Totals plan as a fresh way of stimulating my interest in dieting.”
Not only did she manage to surpass her goal of fitting into her pre pregnancy clothes but she reduced her dress size to the once elusive size 12. Losing 2 stone 12 lbs also meant Sharon achieved a much healthier BMI of 21.
Weight loss has benefited all areas of her life, her confidence has soared and she has become a fitness enthusiast.
“My self confidence has returned. I am proud of the amount of weight I have lost. The swimming has assisted in the weight loss and it actually gives me energy, which I need after being up with the baby during the night.”
Like so many other women Sharon used her pregnancy as an excuse to pile on the pounds and eat the kinds of foods she would normally keep well away from. Here she tells us about the difference the Totals plan has made to her eating habits.
“During pregnancy I ate what I wanted when I wanted. My food intake increased dramatically because I thought I would have a large tummy anyway. I ate lots of sweet food and I piled on the weight. My diet is much healthier and the food portions I eat are more controlled. Occasionally I treat myself to chocolate; I find it more enjoyable now that it is a rare treat.”
She has found the Totals plans very flexible and convenient which is essential, considering she has a new bundle of joy to keep her busy.

As a doting mother trying to battle with weight, Sharon has some advice for new mums. She recognises the need to eat healthily and exercise but also knows that moderation is key!
“It is important that you don’t feel pressured into exercising too quickly after having the baby or it will cause setbacks in the long run.”
The support that she has received from her friends and family has been an enormous source of encouragement.
“My family cannot believe how fast I lost weight and I keep receiving positive comments from them. It was great going to work Christmas parties and having colleagues compliment me.”
