Weight loss without the cabbage soup!
If your only dieting experience was the cabbage soup diet wouldn’t you be reluctant to embark on another weight loss attempt? Well this is exactly how Brenda felt, but when she saw the online weight loss programme advertised she decided the time had come to change her life and shape.
“I lost weight very quickly with the cabbage soup diet but it returned almost as soon as I lost it. My turning point was when I refused to buy any more size 16 trousers. I registered with the online healthy eating plan and never looked back.”
Brenda lost 2 stone 7 lbs since joining the plans. Her BMI has reduced from 27 to 22, and she was delighted to note that her size 16 clothes no longer clung to every curve in such a ‘figure hugging’ way. Now that Brenda is a slinky size 12, there certainly is no need to resort to the larger clothes section of shops.
“My weight was making me feel fat and frumpy; clothes were too tight (especially around my thighs, stomach and bottom). None of the size 16 clothes I wore looked good on me. I got very short of breath and tired when I ran or swam.”
“I am more confident now and actually feel good about showing off my body, the only problem is I need to invest in a new wardrobe.”
The compliments that Brenda receives are unrelenting and are just what she needs when motivating is dwindling.
“Everyone has commented that I look really good and that I shouldn’t lose any more weight. It feels so great to have more energy.”
She enjoyed plenty of aspects of the meal plans and what the website has to offer.
“I loved being able to construct my own meal plans from a vast variety of food types; ready meals, and meals that need to be cooked from scratch. It was great that I was able to detail everything that I could eat in week in order to promote weight loss. The meal plans were easily tailored to suit my needs. I found the ‘weekly weigh in’ particularly valuable and liked being able to follow my progress on the graph.”
Tremendous improvements have been made to her diet since registering with the plan. She is much more aware of what foods she needs to eat to maintain a healthy, balanced diet.
“Previously I used a lot of convenience sauces for meals, now I need much less and realise that dishes can be just as tasty by adding herbs or relying on the food’s natural juices instead. I also do my best to purchase the healthy option of the foods I buy.”
Brenda has some helpful tips to offer anyone who struggles to restrict portion sizes.
“I eat a bowl of salad before my evening meal because raw salads are unlimited in the diet. I enjoy veggies and they help to fill me up so that I do not over eat my main meal.”
After sticking to the diet and achieving such good results Brenda has a dieting mantra which she repeats as soon as she is tempted to stray from her healthy eating routine.
“I have to keep telling myself that the extra chocolate bar will give me less than 2 minutes of satisfaction, but will offer a lot more to my thighs.”
