Orla Mitchell

I have worked with Tesco Diets for the last 2½ years and it has been great. Whether it's helping people through tough patches, getting others back on track or simply giving a word of encouragement or a pat on the back, I love supporting our members. It's great when members achieve their target weight, as I feel that I have helped somebody to make positive changes to their lives. That's when you know all the hard work is worthwhile and makes my job a great one to have - I don't think many people can say that.

I am single mum and before I started working here, I was worried about what my little girl Emma was eating. So one day I started the Gi plan. I find this plan helps us in so many ways, there's a great choice of food and Emma is not eating sugary and high-fat junk foods. As her mother I always worry about. It's great to see my little girl eating healthy foods she can enjoy with me. I'm now an expert at planning our meals and shopping each week!

There are some foods that I do not like e.g. cheese and yoghurts and I really like the way that I can swap meals to suit me. Its great working here and helping people to change their lives and it's great that I can make the same difference to mine and Emm's too.

Debbie Morrissey

I started working at Tesco Diets nearly 3 years ago as a part-time Customer Service Executive. I was then promoted to Customer Service Manager last year and now work full time.

When I first started working here I followed the online plan and lost 9lbs and was delighted with myself. I love cooking and spend a lot of my time at weekends making meals for my family. They would say I'm a little obsessed by what we eat, but I disagree.  I think it's important to eat a healthy, well balanced diet that tastes great. That doesn't mean I don't love cakes, biscuits and the odd Burger King, but I try to have them only occasionally and as a treat.

There's a great atmosphere in the office with the Customer Services team and the highlight of it all is when you read the success stories and the before and after photos are sent in.  We have them decorating the walls of the officeJ.  Another great aspect of our job is that we really get to know you all very well and go through your weight loss journeys with you. The weekly replies we send to members on weigh in and the support boards are a great way for us to get to know you.  We've had offers of holidays, presents and lovely letters in the post and again whenever we can we decorate the walls of the office with your well wishes.  It's great to come to work   surrounded by so many positive messages.

Lisa Farrell

I have been working for TescoDiets for just over a year and I also hope that I have helped 1 or 2 of you to lose weight. I love working for Tesco Diets and helping you with any problems or questions you may have. Every day we all get comments to respond to and I love reading them to find out how you are all getting on and to see the progress that you're making.

I have learnt so about food since starting to work here, which is good because you get to take all the information you have learned and bring it home.  I will finish by wishing you all the best of luck and to remember, that the girls in the team here are like you and we will always help and support you to reach your goal

Caroline Foster

I have worked for Tesco Diets for roughly 2 years now and I am a team leader.  I am 45 years young, married with two children (they would disagree as they are 21 and 18) and they think that I am totally obsessed about food. I'm not - I just love it and I have the same problems as every other person I know.

I hope that I am of some help to you with my replies to your comments. I love a glass of wine at the weekends and often finish work on Friday and go for a tipple - just the one mind. My other half works for Cadbury Ireland and is not allowed under any circumstances to bring work home with him.  It may not seem fair when I bring my work home in the form of tasty healthy meals, but you have to draw the line somewhere.

Nicola MacMahon

I am 38, live in Dublin and am a born and bred Irish lass.  I have been working for Tesco Diets since April 2005 and I really enjoy my job, helping our members – motivating, supporting and encouraging all of you.  I have started a counselling course from home, which I hope will help me help you even more.

I am in contact with a lot of you and you probably know a lot about me already. I have generously been invited to meet ups with you, but unfortunately the timing has been bad and I have not been able to go – maybe one day.  I do my best to eat healthy, drink loads of water, lots of veg and salads in the day, porridges in the morning. Like everyone I have my off days where I will have that bit of choc, but I do try not to and if I slip up, I put it behind me and start all over again.

Niamh O′Grady

I've been working as a part-time Customer Services Executive for TescoDiets.com for a little over a year now and love the work I do. I feel that I have made some great friends both in the office and with you our members.

I find it very rewarding speaking to members on a daily basis and helping them to progress along their weight loss journey. I understand the struggles and triumphs of loosing weight, as I to have struggled over the years. No matter whether you have gained or lost in a particular week, I always want to encourage our members to stay on track.

Before I started working here I didn't have the best of diets. But now my whole thinking of food has changed and I don't ever look at healthy eating as a diet, but a new way of living. I love the 90-10 rule, because it means that I am still being healthy and enjoying my treats at the same time. Nobody wants to feel deprived of what they like and you don't have to. Having tried a number of our plans, I have settled with the Gi Diet. I love the way this plan helps you stay fuller for longer and has such a great variety of foods on it. I have even surprised myself with some of the foods I now eat and love, like porridge for breakfast and whole grain cereals. You get so much more out of these foods and feel fuller for longer.

I have recently completed an Introductory Certificate in Counseling Skills and will be commencing a Diploma in Counseling this coming September. I am a qualified in Anatomy, Physiology & Holistic Massage and in Aromatherapy to.

Most mornings you see me walking with Angel, my little Jack Russell Terrier, who I rescued last November. If we miss our walk, we don't feel right. The rest of my spare time is caught up in making handmade cards and scrap booking. I find having a hobby a life saver, because it means I'm not spending quiet time munching.

I wish you all the very best of luck with your weight loss journey and remind you, you are never alone.

Rachael Baldwin

I've been working for Tesco Diets Customer Service for just over two years now and long may it continue. I really appreciate receiving comments back from members telling them me how much my replies have meant to them and how they have encouraged them. It's a great feeling and I want to thank you all for getting back to me. I love being able to ask members to become a success story I've asked quite a few and all of them have said yes. I've even made some really good friends with the members and I think that's really important. Treat people how you would like to be treated.

I tell everybody, everyday to drink plenty of water and but it's the one issue I slip up on myself. I don't drink enough and as I suffer with eczema, I really should. Each day I tell myself to drink more and each day it slips from my mind, but I keep trying and some days are better than others. Through working at Tesco Diets I've really learned how to eat healthier and I'm loving eating fruit again and being healthy.

Finally, I'd like to add what a great idea I think this profile is! Each week we hear back from you and get to know you all, yet you don't know that much about us. Hopefully these little profiles will change that and you can put a personality to the name at the end of your email replies. I will finish by thanking all of you for making my job interesting and the office a happy place to work in.

Michelle Prior

Hi, my name is Michelle, I am 27 years young and for nearly 2 years I have worked for Tesco Diets. I love being in contact with our members and doing what I can to help you all reach your goals. It is a very fulfilling job and it makes you feel so good when you see a member succeed in reaching their goal, I love it!   There are so many success stories and it makes everything worthwhile to know you did whatever you could to help.

I have also built up a relationship with a lot of lovely people in my time here and speak to some very friendly and funny members on a daily basis. Keep sending me your emails!!

I applied for a job with Tesco Diets as I have always been interested in Nutrition and fitness. I live in a fitness orientated house - my boyfriend and his sister are fitness instructors, so there's no escape.  But we try to eat healthily and work out regularly and I have learned a lot about healthy eating and frequently take home delicious recipes to try out.

When I leave the office each evening, it is great to leave with a smile on your face, knowing that I have helped others.

Lynne Kavanagh

My name is Lynne.I've been at Tescodiets for over 3 and a half years.Since I began here I've been working on trying to eat more healthily and keeping that up !I go to the gym a few times a week and I feel guilty when I haven't been so it must be working!.

It's fantastic to see so many members reach their goal weights and when we see the amazing before and after pictures we're sent it really gives me great job satisfaction to know that we're helping members reach their full potential and continue with a much healthier , happier lifestyle.

Lisa Maher

My name is Lisa Maher and I'm 26 years old. I have a little boy Aaron who is 5. I've been with Tescodiets for 2 years and I love to help members stay focused and motivated on reaching their goal weight.

I feel great when I'm helping a member to reach their goal weight and seeing the results through the positive feedback and photos they send us. I also feel good when I see that my job is to make others happy and fulfilled.

Aoife Duffy

My Name Is Aoife Duffy and I've been working in Tescodiets for nearly 3 years. It's a very pleasant and friendly place to work and I thoroughly enjoy working here. I've learnt and gained lot of experience helping and supporting the members, through phone, e-mail and live chat.

I help my partner to teach kickboxing to children and adults and it's wonderful to watch all of them gain confidence and grow as people. My hobbies are card making and making anything that involves being creative. Food wise my main weakness would be crisps, I would eat them all the time if I could. I've made many new friends and like to think I get on with all my colleagues. It is very rewarding when you are helping and encouraging members to stick to their plans. It also helps me to think about what I'm eating and how I look after myself.

Amanda Walsh

I am Deputy Manager in our Customer Services Department in Tesco diets.

Hobbies Eating out, sensibly – of course J, music (I used to DJ with my friend), reading and sunshine and anything that involves being lazy really!! I gave up cigarettes four years ago and piled on nearly a stone in weight. I then tried our Totals plan for five weeks last summer and lost 9 pounds (and I did not have to exercise!) and I was able to have some alcohol so I could still socialise and enjoy my treat of a glass of wine.

As I am too lazy to exercise, I do not expect to be toned but hey that's my choice! I am always interested, sympathetic and supportive to people who are trying to lose weight, because that's me. I love eating food, talking about it, discussing what other people eat and advising them on their weight loss. I don't always practice what I preach with regards to advising people about weight loss and food, but I try and I've done it in the past myself. So to all of you out there on a mission to lose weight – always remember we understand! I have lumps and bumps like everybody else; I am not perfect - just nearly!
